Reading Club @ BT Official Launch!!!
We are pleased to announce the official opening of the Reading Club @ BT on Saturday, 29 Mar 2008 at the Bukit Timah Community Club, 20 Toh Yi Drive.
In celebration of this event, we invite you to join us in our fun-filled activities that cater for both children and adults. These are held between 1.00 to 4.30 p.m. Among others, we will hold a Reading Competition for children born in 2002 to 2003, and a Story-telling Competition for primary school children. Each competition will feature a different theme.
Aside from reading and literacy, the launch event will also focus on family life. This will be reflected in several activities held on 29 Mar 2008, namely:
¨ a Family Amazing Race. Each team in the race will consist of a Daddy, a Mummy and a Child above 3 years old. The race consists of a series of mini-activities that each team member will be asked to perform, and the combined efforts of all members is required to complete the race. The race emphasizes the importance every member of a family plays, including the child. Goodie bags will be given to those who complete the activities in the Family Amazing Race, with additional prizes for the 3 fastest teams;
¨ bouncy castles for the young and the young at heart, a book bazaar, face-painting, magic show, and many more.
Admission is free for the launch event, but registration is required for those who wish to participate in the Reading / Story-telling Competitions and the Family Amazing Race. Registration forms for the said competitions will be available at the Reading Club. You may register at the Bukit Timah Community Club from 9 am – 9.30 pm or by fax to 64666114.
We look forward to your support for our official launch. The deadline for registration of the competitions is 17 Mar 2008.
